Bel Mondo means Beautiful World. Our flagship store has been open since September 2000 and is located in St John Street, Tauranga. Bel Mondo has developed into a place where all people who love good food can find top quality imported and local ingredients at an affordable price. Founded by Rocco Fanfulla and Joanne Booth over 10 years ago, Bel Mondo’s new owners, Grant and Claudia Lues bring a genuine charm and enthusiasm for the Mediterranean lifestyle to Bel Mondo. Having lived in Tuscany for most of 2009 with their two sons, Guilio and Joshua, the Lues family authentically continue the legacy established a decade ago. With Italian heritage etched into their backgrounds, the Lues family speak fluent Italian and look forward to sharing their experiences with you.
Bel Mondo has a diverse range of Italian and Mediterranean food and wines; kitchen equipment and of course recipe books. Over the years, we have developed a great rapport with some of New Zealand’s best artisans which enables us to showcase some of our country’s finest produce as well. Our knowledgeable staff understand that good food doesn't have to be expensive and encourage customers to browse a shelf of cookbooks to find ideas for their dinner and are very happy to share their knowledge and ideas with you.
