We’ve been busy over the last few weeks with plenty of fun and exciting activities happening. When you visit our store in Tauranga – not only will you be greeted with a ‘Buon Giorno” but you’ll be offered a taste of locally made Turkish Delight – the best around. This is a wonderful tradition introduced by Bel Mondo’s former owners, Rocco and Joanne. If Grant is in store, you’ll probably also be offered an espresso coffee to go with it ! You will also notice a fresh look beginning to emerge as we introduce our new imagery to the shop.
Last weekend, we were involved in Tauranga’s annual Multi-Cultural Festival at the Historic Village which was fantastic. Visitors were transported back to their foodie experiences in Italy as we provided authentic pizzas freshly made by local Italian Chef Luciano Sorrentino. Luciano made all ingredients himself including the yeast free pizza bases, mozzarella cheese, tomato pizza sauce using tomatoes from his own garden – topped off with the beautiful taste of basil – also from his garden.

Luciano’s pizza bases are made fresh for Bel Mondo and available in store on Thursday afternoons. So say goodbye to weekend takeaways and purchase a couple of these bases – a great pizza sauce and our exclusive pizza mozzarella cheese and you will please all the family.

We love to hear about our customers’ exciting travels to the Mediterranean. One lovely mum bought her trendy-looking young teenage son in to buy Cannoli and Ricotta so they could recreate the Cannoli-eating-experience from their recent family trip to Italy. To see the enthusiasm on his face as they retold some of their great travel tales was the highlight of our day.
